Since I joined and started to work with AgroServices, I have seen quite a drastic improvement in my farming business. Before, me and my wife would have had to take our goods to the market and sell. But now, we were given training in good agri practices and we were introduced to new technologies. I also benefitted from marketing training where my produce has to now meet very high standards before sending to the customers. I can safely say it has been a real transformation for me as well as my family farm.

Since I commenced working along with AgroServices Inc. I can safely say that it motivate me to get more in producing and procuring larger quantities of goods which eventually grew my business. In the journey thus far, I have also been introduced to new standards that certain clients require. This helped me to improve my post-harvest techniques as well as preparing the goods for the markets. I was also exposed to oil and gas standards. This is very significant since all I knew about was selling at markets such as Stabroek and Bourda. The standards are very different and honestly, I became very enlightened as to how handling and processing can give better quality produce. I prefer to work with this and it will be very difficult for me to re-adjust to the regular market standards. I was also exposed to different types of training in packaging and delivery of whole and fresh foods.

At first, when I was introduced to AgroServices it was done through a friend. As usual, many big companies approach small farmers and try to squeeze whatever they can, hence, I never took the link too seriously. I thought, maybe, this is yet another middle man that wanna maximize and squeeze the small man. However, to my surprise, this was totally the opposite. AgroServices guys reached out and they even offered free Agronomy advice and opted to invest in my farm. I was still a bit hesitant, however, after a few mornings I realised that these guys were very serious and since I agreed to move on, I can safely say that I was encouraged to expand my operations to meet their demands. I have surely up my production capacity and am looking to increase the farm size to include more crops. I am convinced that this is not another middleman company, but a company that allows you to grow with them. I have increased my revenue and sales and this means alot. I was impressed with the level of service they offer and the amount of energy they put into their suppliers. I feel safe and secured with them. I have personally grown to become a more committed and dedicated farmer all because of their standards.
